Dear Residents, Families and Friends,

Thank you for your support and understanding during this challenging time. Your cooperation is vital in allowing our team to focus their efforts on keeping your loved ones safe and cared for. We are providing these updates because we believe that transparency is the best policy

The results of our rapid, on-location antigen testing show that several residents are COVID-19 POSITIVE. While we are appropriately isolating those residents we are waiting on the results of the more accurate PCR tests. We will share those results here when we receive them.

Red Cliffs Health and Rehab is continuing to test both residents and staff members at least weekly as a preventative measure. The facility will directly contact family members if there are concerns with their loved one's test results.

We continue to monitor all residents and staff members continue to be medically screened before each shift. Testing will continue at the frequency recommended by CMS and the CDC.

We continue to work closely with the Utah Department of Health and the Bureau of Epidemiology and are following all their recommended protocols regarding the treatment, care, and safety of all residents and staff.

All staff and essential medical personnel are fully outfitted with personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed for their respective duties and we continue to prohibit visitors.

As previously shared, as of Friday, March 13, 2020, all facilities like ours, across the nation, were required to be on restricted access. Since that time, only essential staff who pass a daily medical screening—as required by the CDC—have been allowed in our facility.

We will continue to update you on this website, status.redcliffsrehab.com, when we have new information to share, and we encourage you to contact us via email with any questions or concerns regarding your loved ones. Again, our email address is info@redcliffsrehab.com

Thank you for your continued support.

Testing is being conducted once per week on all residents and twice per week for all staff members due to the current positivity rate of Washington County and as follow up to any positive test results.

This week’s testing resulted in having one asymptomatic resident testing positive and four staff members. Testing will be continued per the CMS and UDOH guidelines. In addition the facility will participate in facility-wide testing by the National Guard next week.

Our recent and routine testing completed by the National Guard’s mobile testing unit resulted in negative tests for all residents and regular staff members.

We were informed that a temporary staff member who does not work regular shifts has tested COVID-19 POSITIVE. However, the Utah Department of Health feels the risk of transmission from the temporary staff member to our residents and regular staff is low. That temporary staff member is following quarantine protocols in their own home.

Currently we have no known cases of COVID-19 among our residents.

We continue to monitor all residents and staff members continue to be medically screened before each shift. Testing will continue at the frequency recommended by CMS and the CDC.

Currently we have a total of one temporary staff member who is COVID-19 POSITIVE (mentioned above).

Our regular testing resulted in one staff member showing results of COVID-19 POSITIVE. The staff member does not provide direct resident care and immediately began following quarantine protocols in their own home.

We will continue regular testing of our staff and residents at the frequency required by the Utah Department of Health based on Washington County’s current positivity rate.

A portion of our testing will be completed by the Utah National Guard’s mobile unit on November 2. Other required testing will be completed in-house. We will share those results on this website when we receive them.
